smartARM is operated by SMARTARM ROBOTICS INC. ("smartARM", "we", "us", or "our"), a corporation based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through smartarm.ca, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy law.

Information we collect

When you submit our Contact Us form, we collect:

• Your name (first and last)
• Email address
• Phone number
• The message you send us

When you apply to our Beta program, we additionally collect:

• Country of residence
• Year of birth
• Whether you have an upper limb difference
• A short personal statement you choose to share with us

We may also automatically collect basic technical information about your visit (such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps) through standard server logs and lightweight analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Why we collect it

We use this information to:

• Reply to your enquiry or partnership request
• Evaluate your interest in the smartARM beta and reach out about next steps
• Understand who is interested in smartARM so we can build for them
• Send you occasional updates about the beta program (you can opt out at any time)
• Detect and prevent abusive use of our forms

Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only with:

How long we keep your information

• Contact form submissions: kept for up to 24 months unless we're in active correspondence
• Beta applications: kept for the duration of the beta program plus up to 12 months
• Technical / log data: kept for up to 12 months

You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

We use industry-standard security measures — encrypted transit (HTTPS), restricted access, and trusted service providers — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this responsibility seriously.

Under PIPEDA you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Withdraw your consent and request deletion (subject to limited legal exceptions)
• Make a complaint to our team or, if unresolved, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

smartARM is not intended for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms, please contact us and we'll delete it.

smartARM is based in Ontario, Canada, and our service providers are located in Canada and the United States. By submitting a form, you understand that your information may be processed in those jurisdictions.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the website.
